Survival Gear Kit for the Car or Camp: What a 31 Piece Bag Is For
Updated: Oct 22
Most people never plan for an emergency, and a small kit that lives in a glove box is the cheapest way to start. A 31 piece survival gear bag is meant to be that kit: compact, ready and easy to forget about until you need it. The Nu'Jants listing starts from $23.95, and the page is clear about where it is meant to go.
What the listing says
The 31 Pieces in 1 Bag Survival Gear and Equipment page describes a survival tool kit that can be placed in a backpack, a car, a drawer, a pocket or a bag. It also says the kit can be fixed to a harness, climbing equipment or a mountain bike. The page calls it perfect for hiking, camping, backpacking and traveling.
It lists emergency uses including hiking, wilderness survival, earthquake, outdoor adventure and outdoor camping. And it describes the kit as a comprehensive tactical survival kit and a gadget gift for fathers, husbands, boyfriends, teens, boys, men and women.
What the page does not list
The page does not itemize the 31 pieces. If you want to know whether a specific tool, such as a particular knife, light or whistle, is in the bag, ask through the contact page post before you order. That way you can match the kit to your own plan.
Where this kit makes sense
In the glove box or trunk, so it is there on a long drive.
In a backpack for a hike or a camping weekend.
In a desk drawer or a go bag at home.
Clipped to a bike or a harness, as the page suggests.
A kit is only a start
A tool kit covers tools. For injuries, you want a first aid kit too, and Nu'Jants has the 173 piece first aid kit on its own page. Together, they make a basic emergency setup for the car for well under the cost of a single hiking jacket.
Add water, a flashlight with fresh batteries, a phone charger and a few snacks, and you have a kit you can trust. Check the contents twice a year, and swap out anything that expires.
A gift that solves a problem
This is a practical gift for someone who is hard to buy for. A new driver, a camper, a dad who likes gadgets or a friend moving into a first apartment can all use one. At the listed price, it also works as an add-on to a bigger gift, such as the 100L waterproof hiking backpack or the camping tent and tarp shelters.
Keeping expectations honest
A compact kit is for small emergencies and convenience. It does not replace training, a plan or proper gear for serious backcountry trips. Learn what each tool does before you need it, and leave an itinerary with someone when you go out.
Paying for it
Shipping at Nu'Jants is a flat $5.99 on every order, and Afterpay, Klarna and Affirm are available at checkout if you would rather pay in 4. A share of every Nu'Jants sale also goes to the American Red Cross.
