Gifts for a Dad Who Fishes: Rod Father Cap and Tee Plus Two Tackle Kits
Fathers who fish are hard to shop for in a specific way: they already own gear they like, and they will quietly return anything that is wrong. The way around that is to pick items where being wrong is cheap, funny or both. A flat bill cap with a pun, a tee that matches it and a small tackle kit all cost under $30, and they say you pay attention.
The Rod Father Embroidered Flat Bill Cap
The Rod Father flat bill cap is $24.95. The page lists a specific feature set:
100% cotton twill.
Structured, five panel and high profile.
Green under the visor.
Sewn eyelets.
Snapback closure.
That list is more detailed than most hat pages, which helps if you want to know what the cap feels like. A structured, high profile cap holds its shape on the head, and a flat bill gives it a different look from the curved trucker caps in the fishing hat row.
The RodFather Unisex T-Shirt in black
The RodFather Unisex T-Shirt is $17.95. The page describes a smooth, comfortable tee with a modern classic fit, so size up for a looser feel. Solid color tees are listed as 100% ringspun cotton, made with OEKO-TEX certified low impact dyes, in a midweight 4.5 ounce fabric, printed in the US. The page says it is designed for men. Cap and tee together come to $42.90 at the listed prices, before shipping.
The 103 piece lure set
The 103pcs Artificial Bait Minnow Tackle Box is $24.95. The page says the set comes with 103 pieces of necessary fishing lures and accessories, including lures, hooks, jig hooks, barrel swivels and a clip connector, along with a free tackle box. It is a good gift for a beginner or for a dad who has run low on small parts.
The 191 piece fishhook parts kit
The 191pcs Fishhook Parts Lure Accessories Kit is $26. The page says the tool box is small enough to fit into the pockets of a fishing box, a fishing backpack or a fishing vest, and that multiple compartments help you sort each type of accessory. It suits someone who ties his own rigs and wants to keep spare parts organized.
How to build the gift
Starter set: the Rod Father cap and the 103 piece set, about $50 before shipping.
Matching set: the cap and the tee, for a dad who likes to wear the joke.
Organizer set: the 191 piece kit with a funny trucker hat from the fishing hats post.
Small gift: the tee alone at $17.95.
What the pages do not say
The tackle pages do not list the hook sizes or lure weights, and the cap page does not give a size range. Snapback closures usually adjust, but if you want a definite answer, ask through the contact page post before you order.
A note on timing
If you are buying for a holiday, check the order date against the calendar. Products ship from the store, and the shipping and returns details in the FAQ cover the rest.
Paying for it
Shipping at Nu'Jants is a flat $5.99 on every order, and Afterpay, Klarna and Affirm are available at checkout if you would rather pay in 4. A share of every Nu'Jants sale also goes to the American Red Cross.
