How Does the Nu'Jants Penny Pillow Deal Work? A 14x14 Roses Are Red Throw Pillow for One Cent
Yes, it is real. The Nu'Jants Roses Are Red Pillow Penny Deal is a 14 by 14 throw pillow that you can get for one cent. You pay the cent plus a flat $7.99 shipping fee, which comes to $8.00 total for a US order. This post explains exactly how that works, so there are no surprises at checkout.
The deal in plain words
Here is the whole thing in a few lines:
The pillow itself costs $0.01 with the deal applied.
Shipping on this listing is a flat $7.99 for US orders.
Your total is $8.00.
The product page explains how to apply the deal at checkout, and it applies one deal per order.
The listing also says you can pay with Afterpay, Klarna or Affirm.
The regular price listed on the page is $7.99, which matches the shipping line. The point of the deal is to bring the price of the pillow itself down to a penny, so what you pay is essentially the cost of getting it to your door.
Why would a store sell a pillow for a penny?
It is a fair question. A penny pillow is an introduction. Nu'Jants would rather you meet the store with a small, low-risk order than guess whether you will like it. A soft pillow for your couch or bed is a simple first purchase, and once it arrives you can decide for yourself whether to come back for jewelry, tumblers, hats, kids' clothes or coats. The shipping fee is the part you pay, and the pillow is the part Nu'Jants is happy to take a hit on.
What the pillow is
The product page describes it as a 14 by 14 Roses are red throw pillow crafted with premium materials, and as a pillow that makes a good accent for any room. That is all the page states, so there are no claims here about fabric, fill or weight. It is a compact accent size, which works well on a sofa, a bed, a reading chair or a bench.
Where it fits in your home
A 14 by 14 pillow is a great layering size. Put it in front of larger cushions on the couch. Add it to a bed to break up plain bedding. Use it on a window seat or in a reading corner. Tuck one on a dorm bed or in a guest room. Because it is a small accent, it adds a pop of personality without changing the whole look of the room.
A gift for under $10 all in
At $8.00 total for a US order, the penny pillow is a fun small gift. It works for a stocking stuffer, a Secret Santa, a housewarming, a Valentine's gift or a thank you. Roses are red is a familiar rhyme, which makes the pillow an easy, playful present. If you want to give something where the person can choose, a Nu'Jants gift card is another option.
This is not the same as the free pillow signup
Nu'Jants has two separate offers for this same pillow, and it helps to keep them straight. The penny deal is the one on this page: the pillow for a cent plus $7.99 shipping. The other is the email signup. If you join the email list on the Nu'Jants homepage, the welcome email sends you to the same pillow, and you pay only the $7.99 shipping. You can read how that works in our post on the free Roses Are Red pillow. Pick whichever fits how you like to shop.
